Jakob Mandlbauer of Austria was hospitalized but somehow escaped serious injury after the four-man bobsled that he was piloting flipped over on the track Saturday and he was dragged along the track with his head hitting the wall, according to reports from the Winter Olympics.
The second run of the men's four-seater bobsleigh ended with a somewhat bitter taste after several nasty accidents. The most serious was the accident of the Austrian crew, in which bobsleigh driver Jakob Mandlbauer was involved. The Austrian, who was trapped in his sled, received medical treatment on the track and was then taken to hospital for further examinations.
