- Washington Sundar turned the chase with an unbeaten 49 off 23 balls and a key 35-run stand with Tilak Varma before Jitesh Sharma finished the match with nine balls to spare.
- Suryakumar Yadav reflected on the toss, saying `I think it was really important to win the toss, I think it was 19 or 20 tosses in a row, so good to break that streak`, while Marsh acknowledged the visitors' bowling.
- The fourth T20 takes place on Thursday on the Gold Coast, with two matches remaining on Nov. 6 and Nov. 8, and fewer fans expected at Bellerive Oval than the MCG crowd of more than 80,000.
