Arsenal Left Sweating over Summer Signing's Fitness as Video of Him After National Team Friendly Comes to Light
Madueke injured his left knee after a challenge and is doubtful for Arsenal’s FA Cup quarter-final, with medical assessments ongoing and early exit from England camp expected.
Arsenal winger Noni Madueke left Wembley wearing a knee brace after England's 1-1 draw with Uruguay, forced off after 38 minutes following a challenge from Rodrigo Aguirre.
Madueke sustained the injury while cutting inside the penalty area, colliding heavily with Aguirre before attempting to play on and eventually being replaced by Jarrod Bowen.
Beyond Madueke, Phil Foden also faces fitness concerns after being substituted following a tackle from Ronald Araujo, compounding Tuchel's injury management challenges.
England boss Thomas Tuchel said, "It's too early," regarding squad changes, as he evaluates medical updates on Madueke and others ahead of Tuesday's match against Japan.
The 24-year-old could be a doubt for Arsenal's Cup quarter-final tie against Southampton on April 4, with Madueke seen limping after leaving the stadium.
