Loan sharks arrested in 5 Thai provinces

Police conducted multiple raids against suspected loan sharks and arrested eight in five major provinces.

Four men were arrested earlier this month in an investigation into money laundering through the fictitious purchase of large quantities of pallets and packaging, the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD) reported on Friday.

Four of the five suspects were placed in pre-trial detention, allegedly laundering money through front-line companies.
