Armed Forces dismantle illegal mining center in Tulcán

A strategic military operation was carried out in the canton Tulcán, in the province of Carchi, where units of the Armed Forces of Ecuador identified and disabled five muzzles and a processing plant of gold material used in illegal mining activities. During the operation, highly sensitive material that was used for the extraction and clandestine processing of minerals was seized.
