Apple Opens Houston Center to Train Next Generation of U.S. Manufacturers

- The opening advances Apple's $600 billion American Manufacturing Program, which supports domestic production capacity through purchase commitments and infrastructure investments across America.
- Production at the facility includes AI servers, and Cook said the site has "shipped the first advanced AI servers off the line," with Mac Mini assembly starting later this year.
- Lutnick praised the commitment, stating, "We needed Apple's commitment to build here in America," and highlighted Apple's potential to lead advanced manufacturing expansion.
- This opening follows previous Apple manufacturing efforts, including the 2019 Austin, Texas, plant where the $6,000 Mac Pro was assembled under Cook's leadership.
