- Founded in 1975 and based in Cedar Rapids, ISA broadened its footprint in North America in 2018 through the purchase of the Halal Montreal Certification Authority.
- ISA president Jalel Aossey described the agreement as an important achievement, while BPJPH leader Dr. Haikal Hasan noted that it promotes employment opportunities in Indonesia and may also positively impact the U.S. Economy.
- The partnership aligns with the USDA's Farmers First initiative and is expected to enhance market access for U.S. Farms and promote food security and certification transparency.
