For the third time in less than a month, ProPublica has published a report on the death of a Texas woman as a result of the state's abortion ban. In June of 2023, 35-year-old Porsha Ngumezi suffered a miscarriage at just 11 weeks pregnant, causing her to lose an immense amount of blood. The death of 35-year-old Porsha Ngumezi was preventable, according to more than a dozen doctors who reviewed a summary of her case for ProPublica.
