Heavy rains caused havoc in Naugaon Bazaar of Uttarkashi. The ghats (small drains) overflowed and the debris entered the residential areas. A house got buried under the debris, many houses and shops got flooded and vehicles got washed away. The administration and disaster management teams are engaged in relief and rescue work. After this accident, the Delhi-Yamunotri highway had to be closed, which caused a traffic jam.
