It joins Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Nof HaGalil, Harish, Netivot, Safed, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, Mateh Binyamin, Tekoa, Beitar Illit, Haifa and Tiberias, which have already been declared outbreak hotspots. The Health Ministry warns that the cities of Rishon LeZion, Hadera, Elad, Ashkelon and Rehovot are at risk of an outbreak.
