A former employee with the Acadiana Center for Youth in Bunkie was arrested and accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a minor incarcerated at the facility, officials with the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice announced Monday.

The suspect, a Population and Immigration Authority employee in his 30s, was arrested last night after allegedly engaging in intimate relationships while taking serious advantage of his authority. Today, he will be brought before a hearing to extend his detention.
