- Andre Russell, the 37-year-old West Indies all-rounder, will conclude his international career following the second T20 international against Australia, scheduled for July 22, 2025, in his hometown of Kingston, Jamaica.
- Following the Jamaica leg of the five-match T20I series beginning July 20, Russell announced his retirement, concluding a 15-year international career that featured pivotal contributions to West Indies' T20 World Cup victories in 2012 and 2016.
- The upcoming series will be Russell's last international appearance, with the first two games held at Sabina Park, his home ground, and Matthew Forde replacing him for later matches in St. Kitts and Nevis.
