PKP Intercity is finalizing one of the company's key tenders for large-capacity trains. A second tender, for high-speed high-speed trains, is in preparation.
Two companies have submitted bids for a tender issued by PKP Intercity, eager to produce the first double-decker trains for the state-owned carrier. The plan is to deliver 42 railcars, which will be deployed in cities such as Warsaw, Krakow, Olsztyn, Łódź, Gdańsk, and Terespol in approximately four years. As PKP IC noted, the bidders' production facilities are located in Poland.
