Area bands receive ‘excellent’ ratings
Marching band contest season has officially come to an end with five area bands competing at OSSAA Regionals over the last two weeks. Four of the bands received II or Excellent ratings -- McLoud, Stroud, Chandler and North Rock Creek. Prague received a III.
All Four Marching Bands Compete in Area Round - Richardson ISD
All four RISD marching bands qualified and competed in the 6A Area C UIL marching contest in Mesquite, held on Saturday, October 25. In the preliminary round, 21 bands competed for a score and ranking from five different judges; two marching and three music.
