Airtel hikes postpaid plans by Rs 50, adds free annual international roaming
- On Thursday, October 8, 2026, Bharti Airtel will launch new postpaid plans featuring one free international roaming trip annually, alongside unlimited data and calling with spam and fraud protection.
- Airtel designed the plans to add international connectivity to its existing postpaid offering, which includes Fast Lane technology on 5G, stated Director of Market Operations Amit Tripathi, who aims to deliver best-in-class experience in the Indian market.
- Plans range from Rs 499 for individuals to Rs 1,799 for families of five, bundling Netflix Standard, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, and Google One with the complimentary roaming pack valued at Rs 2,000.
- Every member on a family plan receives the annual roaming benefit, which users can activate whenever they choose rather than upon first travel, while existing Airtel customers can upgrade through the Airtel app or by visiting a store.
- The roaming offer covers up to three international trips per year across more than 170 countries depending on the plan, with existing postpaid subscribers transitioning to higher tiers within a month as the new structure takes effect.
