Aging CUSD facilities continue to serve, but need lots of help

Summary by Ground News
Chico schools were quickly filling with kindergarteners in 1950, when voters approved a bond issue Nov. 7 of that year to fund new school facilities. Seven decades later, those schools that brought help to the burgeoning student population need quite a bit of help of their own. They're getting more expensive and difficult to maintain, according to Julia Kistle, Chico Unified School District director of facilities and maintenance.
