- Prosecutors say he accepted bribes including gold bars, cash and a Mercedes-Benz from 2018 to 2022 to benefit three New Jersey businessmen and Egyptian officials, with Jose Uribe recently sentenced after cooperating.
- He began serving his federal prison sentence in June at the Federal Correctional Institution Schuylkill, while Nadine Menendez is slated to report after medical treatment and co-defendants received prison terms and fines including Daibes fined $1.75 million and Hana fined $1.3 million.
