After nearly three decades, Fun Spot America shuts down Georgia park
The company said season passes and gift cards will stay valid until closure, and will be honored later at its Florida parks.
Fun Spot America announced it will permanently close its Atlanta-area theme park in Fayetteville, Georgia, with the final day of operation scheduled for Aug. 2, 2026.
Chief Executive Officer John Arie called the closure "an extremely difficult decision," expressing gratitude for the dedication of staff and support from the Fayetteville community.
Season passes and gift cards remain valid at the Georgia location until closure, with the company continuing to honor them at its flagship parks in Orlando and Kissimmee, Florida.
Information regarding outstanding group events and field trips will be shared with affected guests in the coming weeks, while normal daily park operations continue until the final date.
Officials have not yet confirmed the future of the Fayetteville property or rides, while the company maintains three locations in Florida spanning more than 150 acres since opening Dec. 24, 1997.
