This year's European Union Prize for Literature went to Czech writer Dora Kaprálová for her novel Mariborská hypnoza, published by Větrné mlýny. A seven-member jury of literary experts selected Kaprálová from fourteen nominated candidates. This year's laureate was announced on Friday at the International Book Fair in Warsaw, according to a statement from the European Creative Europe program.
