MEPs voted on Tuesday, 1 April, by a large majority, in favour of the bill to "bring France out of the trap of drug trafficking".

MPs approved the bill after seven days of heated debate on this key piece of government security policy.

The text, which intends to "bring France out of the trap of drug trafficking", was adopted by 436 votes to 75. A joint joint committee must now be held, allowing senators and deputies to agree on a common version of the text.

This text was supported by Bruno Retailleau and Gérald Darmanin, and only the Insoumis voted against it.
