The Wuhlheide bridge is history. Where trams have been rolling again for about a week, cars should now follow.
Starting tomorrow, cars will be allowed to travel at the site of the demolished Wuhlheide Bridge in Berlin-Oberschöneweide (Treptow-Köpenick). The traffic authority announced that "vehicle traffic can be gradually resumed" starting around 2:00 p.m. Initially, traffic will be limited to one lane between Treskowallee and Edisonstraße. From Friday afternoon, the intersection under the demolished bridge at Wuhlheide is again open for car traffic. After the tram is already rolling, cars are now allowed to enter the area. Whether the bridge is rebuilt is questionable.
