This is a first since the Taliban took power in Kabul in 2021: the Afghan government appointed a businessman in New Delhi, announced the Afghan Embassy in India on Monday, January 12. This announcement comes at a time when the Indian authorities do not officially recognize the Taliban government... but seek to exploit tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
