The government would change the adoption rules again

According to a draft submitted by Zsolt Semjén, a “single-tier national adoption system” will be introduced.

There is nothing specific in Semjén's new proposal.

For now, experts are only guessing what the single-level system will bring.

A national organization would help with adoptions, and the relevant amendment to the law is already before parliament, Népszava noted. The details are not yet known, so child protection experts are only speculating.
