- Facing roster shortages in training camp, the Vikings urgently sought trade help as wide receiver became a pressing need and Jordan Addison serves a three-game suspension.
- Recent numbers show Adam Thielen totaled 151 receptions for 1,629 yards and nine touchdowns over two seasons with the Panthers, including 48 catches for 615 yards and five touchdowns in 2024.
- As a result, Thielen will add depth to a Vikings receivers room coping with Jordan Addison's three-game suspension and injuries, while the Panthers absorb $5MM in dead money split between 2025 and 26 seasons.
- Looking ahead, Thielen signaled 2025 could be his NFL finale, and the return ensures that finale would come in Minnesota before the Sept. 8 Monday Night Football opener at the Chicago Bears.
