The World Health Organization (WHO) delivered an official certificate to Mauritania proving the final elimination of Tracuma as a public health problem at an official ceremony held on the margins of the seventy-eighth session of the WHO General Assembly, Geneva.

I congratulate the Mauritanian Government and people on this achievement. It is a new example of the tremendous progress we have made in combating neglected tropical diseases and gives hope to many other countries that are still struggling with the disease of the Temperature.
