About the garage culture in the east

The European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 invites you to take a stroll through the garage courtyards of the city. The project #3000Garagen presents the approximately 30,000 Chemnitzer garages, which were built collectively and in-house in the GDR times, as living archives, creative spaces and places of encounter.
