MEPs voted on Wednesday to abolish the low-emission zones (ZFEs), causing the RN's joy in Perpignan, but the concern of public health advocates.
A first step towards the abolition of the ZFE had been taken in March with the adoption of a five-year moratorium on the establishment of these low-emission zones, a bill, notably brought forward by a member of the RN du Gard, is reinforced by the vote in session on 28 May 2025 in the National Assembly of the abolition of the ZFE.
