Abigail Spanberger becomes Virginia's first female governor, leading a Democratic resurgence with plans to focus on affordability and resisting federal immigration enforcement.
- On Saturday, Abigail Spanberger was sworn in at the Virginia State Capitol, Richmond, as the Commonwealth's 75th governor and its first female chief executive, ending a nearly 250-year line of male governors dating to 1776.
