SISD Announces New Policy on Cell Phones Per State Law

NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES, JUL 9 – The law mandates social media literacy and internet safety education while requiring schools to report wireless device policy compliance starting September 2025, officials said.

Sweetwater ISD has sent a letter to students and their families announcing a new policy. As per state law, students will no longer be allowed to use their cell phones during their instructional day.
