Erica Lynne Johnson of Harlingen was sentenced on Wednesday to 12 years in prison for the charge of manslaughter for poisoning because of the death of Elpidio Huerta Mireles during a crash on July 16, 2022. The crash occurred at 12:42 am at Interstate 69, in Combes when Johnson allegedly impacted Huerta Mireles’ vehicle, which overturned several times.
