The electoral process in Puerto Rico, as in the rest of the world, has evolved as technological advances have been utilized to organize and manage information. In the 1970s, on our island, registrations were conducted door-to-door to expand the general voter registry, using a manual methodology in a process in which the voter's signature legitimized the registration.
