Victoria Isabel Cardiel/EWTN News The new statue by Timothy P. Schmalz titled “Be Welcoming” is displayed in St. Peter’s Square, Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The same Scripture verse also inspired Schmalz’s Angels Unawares sculpture — also located within St. Peter’s Square — which depicts 140 migrants of different ethnicities and nationalities standing on a boat.
