A man is in serious condition after falling from a golf cart in La Quinta.

A crash in which a man was injured is being investigated by the sheriff. The man was riding in a golf cart in the area of 52nd Avenue and Madison Street in La Quinta, where he fell and hit his head. When paramedics arrived, he was transported to a Palm Springs hospital. The man is Jeff Sperbeck, who has represented more than 100 NFL players throughout his 30-year career.
