On the 17th, the Tomigusuku Police Station of the Okinawa Prefectural Police announced that a male office worker in his 40s living in the southern part of the main island had been defrauded of approximately 3 million yen in cash in a social media-based investment scam. According to the police station, in July of this year, the man received a message with a LINE ID from an account with a feminine-sounding name on a dating app.
