“A heartbreaking tragedy”: Fajardo mayor attributes fatal accident to burned-out lights

Following reports of poor visibility on PR-987 in Fajardo, where a fatal accident occurred last Saturday after a teenager hit and run over a septuagenarian tourist, the mayor of the municipality, José Aníbal “Joey” Meléndez Méndez, attributed the incident to four burned-out lights on streetlights on the highway.
