The oldest wallet in the Czech Republic was probably found on the Hradisko hill near Pasohlávek in the Brno region, where the 10th Roman legion was heavily fortified in the second century AD. It is unique – it is about 1845 years old and apparently belonged to a soldier of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, who fought against the Germanic tribe of the Marcomanni in what is now Moravia.
