A Colombian court approves the extradition of the leader of a rebel group engaged in peace talks with the government.
By ASTRID SUÁREZ BOGOTÁ (AP) — Colombia's Supreme Court has approved the extradition request for the leader of Comuneros del Sur, a rebel group with which the government is holding peace talks, the court announced Monday. However, President Gustavo Petro's decision remains to be made to activate an arrest warrant for extradition, which could strain the talks with the rebel group.
