800 Pairs of Shoes Recovered in Stolen Vehicle Case

- Tuesday, Waterloo Regional Police recovered a stolen box truck loaded with approximately 800 pairs of work boots and work shoes believed to be stolen.
- Police responded around 10:30 p.m. after reports a box truck was stolen from the area of Townline Road in Cambridge on Nov. 11.
- Officers spotted the vehicle near Franklin Boulevard Road and Avenue Road and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop and fled, police said.
- Police say they are still looking for suspects after recovering the stolen vehicle loaded with footwear and ask anyone with information to call 519-570-9777 ext 8255 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
- About 20 minutes after the report, officers located the truck abandoned in the Sheldon Drive and Lingard Road area, Waterloo Regional Police said.
