BIG RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 77-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital after a car crash near Big Rapids Saturday afternoon, deputies say.  It happened in front of the Meijer on Perry Avenue near US-131 around 1 p.m. The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department says the 77-year-old man pulled out of the road to Meijer and into the path of a westbound car, causing the crash.
