- Republicans are split, with 50% supporting and 50% opposed, while Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents show 94% opposition including 80% strong opposition; about 8 in 10 Independents also oppose, CNN/SSRS found.
- Nearly six in ten Americans say Trump has gone too far expanding U.S. power, and 55% say he has overused the military, CNN/SSRS found.
- Conducted January 9-12, the poll by SSRS surveyed 1,209 U.S. adults with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, just ahead of a White House meeting with Danish officials, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
