5 Palestinians killed, over a dozen injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza

Islamic Relief said Israeli attacks have killed or wounded a Palestinian in Gaza every 90 minutes on average since the ceasefire was announced.

  • On Oct 8, Israeli forces killed Palestinians across Gaza, including one near Deir Balah and others in the Tel Hawa area of Gaza City. An airstrike also wounded people in Khan Younis, Wafa reported.
  • Islamic Relief reports that Israel uses the so-called Yellow Line to displace Palestinians from 65 percent of Gaza, crowding nearly 2.1 million people into the remaining 35 percent of the territory.
  • The Health Ministry reports that about 82 percent of structures in Gaza are damaged or destroyed, with more than half of health services shut down and more than 20,000 patients denied permission to leave.
  • In the occupied West Bank, a 13-year-old boy was shot during an Israeli raid on Yamoun, near Jenin, the Palestinian Red Crescent said. Israeli attacks have killed or wounded a Palestinian in Gaza every 90 minutes.
  • Humanitarian groups urge world leaders to increase pressure to protect civilians and uphold international law, maintaining that a ceasefire in name only cannot be an excuse for international inaction.
