Jeffrey Epstein's Ex-Cellmate Claims He Trashed Donald Trump and Bill Clinton
William Mersey says Epstein mocked Trump and Clinton in jailhouse conversations, but the accounts remain unverified.
- On Thursday, a TMZ documentary revisited unverified anecdotes from former inmate William Mersey, who recounted claims that late financier Jeffrey Epstein privately mocked President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton.
- Mersey, a former inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019, participated in a companion program that facilitated over two dozen hours of direct contact with Epstein, providing the setting for conversations he first recounted in 2019.
- In the documentary, Mersey alleged Epstein claimed Trump described himself as "white-trash adjacent" and remarked "It's me without money" regarding finances. Mersey also alleged Epstein made an explicit sexual comment about a woman while visiting China with Clinton.
- The White House dismissed the allegations, reiterating that President Trump previously expelled Epstein from Mar-a-Lago after deeming him a "creep." Representatives for Clinton did not respond to requests for comment.
- Analysts caution these anecdotes remain unverified hearsay rather than evidence of wrongdoing. While the report renews scrutiny of Epstein's expansive connections, the claims do not establish involvement in his crimes.
