An internal document of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reveals that any U.S. citizen or resident can now be subjected to a mandatory facial scan by the Mobile Fortify application, used by immigration officers (ICE). The captured images will be kept for up to 15 years, whether they are immigrants, foreign visitors or U.S. citizens. This revelation raises deep concerns about mass biometric surveillance and safe drift.

According to the new travel guide from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), all non-U.S. citizens, including immigrants residing in the United States and green card holders, must undergo facial recognition photography when entering or leaving the United States.
