  • A Freightliner shuttle bus carrying about 41 people crashed into a ditch on State Highway 100 in Gasconade County, Missouri, on Saturday morning around 10:45 a.m.
  • The crash happened after the driver, a 45-year-old man from Hermann, veered off the right side of the road and allegedly overcorrected, though officials have not confirmed the cause.
  • The incident injured at least 33 adults aged 27 to 68, with four seriously hurt including the driver, and all passengers were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
  • The emergency response team consisted of 10 ambulances, a crew of firefighters and paramedics numbering 34 personnel in total, as well as an air ambulance with its flight crew. The roadway was reopened for regular traffic by 1:30 p.m., less than three hours following the crash.
  • The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which was declared a mass casualty event due to the number of injured, though passenger numbers and destination remain unclear.
