BURKE COUNTY, NC – A 3 year old is in the hospital after being shot with an unsecured gun. Deputies say on Sunday they were called to a home on Berrytown Avenue in Morganton. That’s where the 3-year-old was found with a gunshot wound to the foot. The child was treated at the scene and then airlifted to the hospital.
