Early returns for the Democratic primary for governor show Chris Jones taking the lead, according to Talk Business and Politics’ Roby Brock. Jones competed for the Democratic seat in the governor’s race against Jay Martin, James “Rus” Russell, Supha Xayprasith-Mays, and Anthony “Tony” Bland. Jones, a native of Pine Bluff, is a nuclear engineer and ordained minister. He campaigned on what he called PB&J: Preschool, broadband, and jobs.
