- Building on over 50 years of HiLux legacy and 27 million global sales, Toyota conducted a "comprehensive and sustained testing program" with leading mining fleets to develop the electric variant.
- Featuring a 59.2kWh battery, the dual-motor AWD pickup supports 150kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10 to 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes for efficient fleet operations.
- Prices start at $74,990 for the SR dual-cab chassis, placing the HiLux BEV at a $17,000 premium over diesel variants; Toyota targets 500 sales in Australia this year.
