June 27 (Reuters) - Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez delivered a dominant performance to win Saturday's sprint race at the Dutch Grand Prix, overtaking pole sitter Jorge Martin on the third lap to claim his second sprint victory of the season.
Just last week, he was considering surgery for his inflamed appendix. A week before the TT, Raúl Fernández was more patient than motorcycle racer, but once in Assen, the Spanish MotoGP racer wanted nothing more to do with a possible medical procedure. His victory in Saturday's sprint race, on the hottest stovetop in Drenthe, washed away all the misery of the past weeks.
