2025 will be a year of challenge to democracy, but there is some hope

Before the big New Year's holidays, as a member of the Seimas Foreign Affairs Committee, I attended the Parliamentary Security and Intelligence Forum held in the US Congress, where I noticed a certain pattern. Many politicians and professionals gathered in Washington, presenting their reports on the geopolitical situation in the world, tended to name blocs of states as a growing threat, not specific states as before.

Recalling some of the challenges that liberal democracy and the Euro-Atlantic alliance will face in 2025.
