It wasn’t easy to choose an All-Area team this season in the Twin Ports. There were two teams — Duluth Marshall and Esko — that were ranked one and two in Class AA for much of the season. While Proctor wasn’t receiving much respect from the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association, they eliminated two-time defending champion Esko in the Section 7AA tournament and produced two All-State players, but so did Esko and the Hilltoppers.
